Nursery Admissions 2024–25: A Comprehensive Guide to Delhi Schools

WITH THE season for nursery admissions setting in, government and private schools in the city have started displaying information regarding the total number of seats, fee structure and age criteria for admissions. According to guidelines issued by the UT Education Department, admission forms are being made available online on school websites; these can also be obtained from schools. As decided by the UT Education Department, the last day for submission of registration forms at all schools across the city is December 18. The four convent schools — Sacred Heart Convent School, Sector 26 ; Carmel Convent School, Sector 9; St. Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32; and St. John’s High School, Sector 26 — will conduct the draw of lots for admissions on January 15, 2016. With the UT education department having released the common admission schedule for nursery admission a day back, parents of children are becoming increasingly curious to know the new fee structure of the top schools in the tricity, which has 82 private schools. दिल्ली सरकार ने दिल्ली स्कूल एजुकेशन (अमेंडमेंट) बिल के जरिए प्राइवेट स्कूलों के एडमिशन प्रोसेस को पूरी तरह से बदलने का प्लान बनाया है। इस बिल के लागू होने के बाद प्राइवेट स्कूलों में नर्सरी समेत एंट्री लेवल की सभी क्लासेज में एडमिशन का फॉर्म्युला ही बदल जाएगा। स्टूडेंट्स के बीच भेदभाव करने वाले पॉइंट्स नहीं होंगे और सभी स्कूलों में एडमिशन लॉटरी (रैंडम मैथेड) सिस्टम से होंगे। एजुकेशन मिनिस्टर मनीष सिसौदिया ने इस बिल को लाने का कारण बताते हुए कहा था कि दिल्ली स्कूल एजुकेशन एक्ट 1973 के प्रावधानों में एडमिशन प्रोसेस पर पूरा अधिकार स्कूल प्रिंसिपल का ही होता है और एडमिशन में गड़बड़़ी की शिकायतों के बाद भी शिक्षा विभाग के पास कार्रवाई के सीमित अधिकार ही होते हैं। इस एक्ट के मुताबिक या तो स्कूल की मान्यता रद्द की जा सकती है या फिर स्कूल के मैनेजमेंट को सरकारी नियंत्रण में ले सकते हैं लेकिन इससे समस्या हल नहीं होती। ऐसे में अब नये बिल में प्रस्ताव किया गया है कि 8वीं क्लास तक के एडमिशन में स्क्रीनिंग प्रोसेस नहीं होगा और किसी भी क्लास में एडमिशन के लिए कैपिटेशन फीस नहीं वसूली जा
